It
is properly said that "the way to make
a small fortune in the resort business is to start with
a large fortune". Throughout Mr. Beckleys career
he has observed hundreds of poor decisions being made
because of the passion potential owners bring to the purchase
of what they perceive as a "Trophy Asset". Having
worked every department of the resort business, Mr. Beckley
is able to give a realistic assessment of the investors
possibilities of success. Several times in his career
Mr. Beckley has literally informed excited investors they
are making a mistake and to "walk away from the deal".
A typical example was a "ski in and ski out"
community that was assured because the investor was buying
$20 million dollars of snowmaking equipment. The only
problem was the area had no water rights. This type of
"boots on the ground" research is invaluable.
His ability to integrate into a community and find out
issues that are often hidden in a standard "Due Diligence"
report is invaluable. As a client rather than an employee
you can be assured of his candor and honesty.
"We
are thilled with the quality of the work performed by
Mr. Beckley and will use his evaluations and recommendations
as a basis for our future actions relative to our ski
resort... Mr. Beckley's great insight regarding marketing
techniques and strategies has resulted in the development
of a plan which we believe will greatly improve the performance
of our Ski Resort." - Michael French, Chief Operating
Officer, Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino
